Bring your heart and your sense of humor to your volunteer service!
Would you like to help us grow in our mission? If you enjoy learning about local history, have a knack for teaching, would like to be a docent for tours, or just enjoy interacting with people: we have volunteer work that would incorporate these aspects of your personality. Maybe you like to work with computers, or possess certain skills, such as filing, typing. Can you commit to three hours a day, a week, a month or a year?
Have you considered volunteering as a family? We have volunteer opportunities suitable for parents and children to do together, or for a husband and wife to take on as a team. When a family volunteers to work together at a nonprofit organization, the experience brings them closer together. We teach young children the value of giving their time and effort back to their community through example. Introduce the family to new skills and experiences, and at the same time build a family memory.
Do you have an interest or hobby you would like to share? If you know how to knit, tell a great story, collect old trains, we can use your talents. If you have a passion for a history related skill woodworking, gardening, researching we can put together a program, class or exhibit with your help.
