147 Lake Shore. Alexander Lewis Cottage. Built before turn of century for Lewis, Detroit's thirty-sixth mayor (1876). Son, Alexander Ingersoll Lewis, resided in a twin house to east (demolished). The houses were originally joined by a connecting, two-story classical portico. Donated to St. Paul Catholic Church. Demolished 2013.
